Motivation

Motivation is something you find by living up to your expectation.

As told to us in a worried tone by Charlie Chaplin’s dictator speech…
“Greed has poisoned men's souls … More than machinery we need humanity; more than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost”

Meaning that the power and hunger for control have made us weak to our self motivated dreams of solidarity and respect.

This introduction is given to for the simple action to motivate.

It is an Experiment of not wanting it all but instead of giving it all for our future.

Each post is a subjective but analytic angle of how one person can become an active member of its society.

Reading it all the reader will find each piece needed in order to become a successful volunteer.

Motivation, Education, History, volunteering, Hope and The streets are the basic topics we have to acknowledge in order to improve our future.

Education:

All religions heal our darkest secrets, religion seal our sins and make them humans. As we know its importance, we learn more and more from its teachings. Religion, in any angle expresses the good side of our hidden face, that one, naked in the land of eternity.

Education is just to understand that all things are created equal, individually by the circumstances upon our arrival, our birth. Education can be measured, not by tests or the intellectuality of one or a group of person, education is measured by how motivated an individual can be in order to study and overcome impositions as obstacles in the track.

Sometimes a spark will fire up your motivation, imaging your world differently, producing endorphins as you dream, wanting you to study and work hard for your future.

When all the secrets are discovered, all we are going to know is that religion is there for us and we are the most important part of it.

History:

History is defined by what you are.

You are here because of your history.

The city of the beloved sun.

There are plenty of things to do in Maracaibo, and if you don’t know what Maracaibo is, well, let me tell you a little bit of it. Maracaibo is one of the richest cities in the world due to the Maracaibo Lake that has an immense oil reserve created about 40 million years ago when all the land, know now as the lake, sank. Maracaibo has a peculiar name, there is a story related to the fight the Indian tribes, the Wayu, had against the Germans around the year 1529, this story is said that there was one fierce Wayu warrior who gave his life as a hero in order to defend his sacred land, he was deeply praised among all he knew and respected even to the opposite side. This warrior was Mara and when he was killed in that colonization battle, his allied, intensely hurt, mourned aloud his name “Mara-cayo…Mara-cayo!” giving the name Maracaibo. Another story is about the ancient name the Wayu had for it, for them it was “Maara-iwo” translated means “place where serpents feast”.

This place where serpent feast has not change a bit, nowadays there is still that Darwin’s theory the survival of the fittest. Of course, in Maracaibo there are million of things to do, there are historical places to visit, commercial shopping mall to relax and release some endorphins if you are a mall addict, good universities to study what the city needs and any other distraction. For some reason corruption has made it almost impossible to believe in its magnificent culture. Corruption has invaded into all its habitant and corrupted their souls.

Maracaibo is still a virgin place to go a help their natives to become what they were before they were corrupted by the apathy and ambition of their actions; greed, the power and control of that oil’s money and drug trafficking has made it impossible to live in. The streets, in the darkest of their active spectrum, are praying for more people to rise, light up their hope and fight with the shadows of oppression like Mara did once, this time by lecturing the youngster about their future and the magnitude of education.

Education is the key to progress and change, once children know how to read, information will follow like gravity and find the world needed to sustain life. As one can imagine, life was not created easily in one day.

Maracaibo, as any other city, has the heroes that are the hearth of their culture, be a part of your culture by becoming one.

Volunteering

There are plenty of organizations that help.Is vital for our society that you help the world by becoming a leader, we are always going to need strong, independent minds.
To organize a non profit organization one needs to understand all the ups and lows of life, to volunteer you need to be a strong mind and have a pure hearth.
Here are some tips to be an excellent and respected leader:
First, think about what you want to do in your life, study for it and work for it, it’s so simple to read it, lets see if it easy to do it.

Second, visit, investigate, analyze all the non-profit organization around your area, with or without the help of the internet, subscribe the one you liked and contact any representative of the chosen organization.

Third, go, volunteer, help, work for them and for your future, do it for everyone.
Fourth, try to make it simple, fun and invite some of your friends, working with friends it has some rewards.

Fifth, keep your mind strong and your hearth pure, life is sacred, therefore rewarding.Last, use your reward for the improvement of our world.

Ben's Game (Hope)

Hope is why we dream, we dream when we image changes, we change as we grow. As we grow hope is still indebted in our thoughts, the indestructible desire to be among our dreams is what hope will always be.

Ben Dustin’s game is the realization of one small part of a dream, as is normal, we all have goals, Ben Dustin’s goal was to develop a game which gives the player what our dreams do, the incredible freedom within our limits inside an eternal realm created by the dreamer. His game is simply revolutionary, the main character is hope metamorphosed as him.

Ben Dustin’s sidekick in this entire adventurous road is one of the humblest computer engineers in the world. Eric Johnston, one great multifaceted servant for our team spirit.

The street:

In the silvered starry heaven above us there are millions of broken hopes and dreams.
None knows why this happens, how in the streets all the kids are insane, how they become soldiers of a lost battle, how they behave like mutants in a contaminated city. In the streets, where most of children are sleeping, those who didn’t sleep are famished by someone who cares for them; their family quit on them because there is every justification for ignorance and apathy, they now patrol unconscious, zombielike, all the cities for any left over. And if by chance they find you there, your eyes will see theirs as irritated and perverted being of the street, where there is no progress as long as you are there for nothing.

This can change.

Foundation that feed the child exist, we need more.
People who work for the hungry children in the streets are for real, be also one of them.
Your mind is your body, become an active member of any volunteer organization and become a leader.

Sometimes shocking advertisings are the only way to convey a message. Shocking advertisings have numerous of uses, they can repel the viewers by telling the true in their faces or they can be the first ones to break the moral taboo some of the viewers have and make them understand what is really happening in the world.

It is insensitive to create an advertising that does not give you some education about the problem they are conveying and even worst to benefit from others disgrace without any consent. Moreover this shocking advertising, the one it is in Berlin, is showing a caged bear in what it seems the last of its life.

That picture wants to express that some Chinese medicine is made out of this kind of bears and you, as the viewer, need to; or stop using that kind of medicament or be aware of the problem. The best way to stop this kind of tragic things to happen in this universal society we are painfully becoming is to involve is small ecologic and voluntary groups that help and produce something for our future environment and future society.

Another way of producing stereotypes. The George Lopez show.

I made 2 the mochino one and this one.

A Stereotype is the generalization of how a person or the society perceive and recognize another part of society or group. There are as many stereotypes as groups in society. Any group or set of people in the society can be generalized into a stereotype by anyone.

In most of countries the most used stereotypes are designed by the overall population to categorize minorities and therefore separate themselves for some reason. In the United States some stereotypes are focused in the poor Latin American, another minority represented by the negative stereotypes and how almost all stereotypes describe Latin American as lazy uneducated people.

Of course, all stereotypes are not negative or express negativity but they usually focus on that due its commercial and humorist impact.

The Advertising I chose was about the George Lopez show made for Nickelodeon. The advertising reflects a typical Latin American family in the United States. In the advertising the husband and wife with the 2 kids and the father’s grandmother are happily washing the car. These kinds of stereotypes are the positive one. As it reflects a Latin American family it’s also makes the viewer aware that not all the Latin Americans live in some segregated complex or they are all living in a small house. The show, believe it or not, wants to teach the American family how values are important in any group from any society. The advertising is a positive stereotype that expresses in an intelligent way how Latin Americans live in the American Society. Of course every person can be generalized into any stereotype but at the end we are all individuals who are unique.

In this advertising the messages is not hurtful or insensitive, it wants to reflect the unity and team work Latin American have.

In conclusion; stereotypes are how people generalized others by the notable characteristics other have or tend to express. Consequently in this advertising the art director wanted to convey a good message by making the Latin American family responsible and at the same time united, surrounded by positive elements like what it seems to be a good neighborhood, a good car and a good moment to be. To me, stereotypes can be very useful if they only describe the best of any group or portion of a society. Designers that create uncooperative advertising have to change their mentality and begin to teach our children to become proficient and progressive instead of alienating them for the purpose of selling the product, but that is just another story.

Pictorial Stereotypes

Exercise 3: Stereotypes in Advertising (The mochino, Cheapandchip advertising)

A Stereotype is the generalization of how a person or the society perceive and recognize another part of society or group. There are as many stereotypes as groups in society. Any group or set of people in the society can be generalized into a stereotype by anyone.

In most of countries the most used stereotypes are designed by the overall population to categorize minorities and therefore separate themselves for some reason. In the United States some stereotypes are focused in the poor African American. Due to the lack of opportunities and economic segregation African Americans and Latin Americans are still struggling to have economic freedom and better opportunities.

In this Advertising of an African American woman painted in black, exaggerating her color skin, all the objects around her symbolize that she is a singer with a savage attitude. This is a common stereotype among the American Society where almost all the great American singer are black, and some express confidence towards being an Amazon, a strong woman. The stereotype is immediately recognized when the company that advertise the product sells cheap products, that makes the viewer think that all African American with a strong spirit and the desire to have something are poor and want to dress like their Diva, in this case, depicted as a flamboyant foxy lady.

In the advertising the designer wanted to focus on a specific group of people, specially the African American woman. That said it is negatively shown because poor people do not usually are generalized as young African Americans with a taste for entertainment, some want to dress as professionals and go to work. This advertising would have been better if it was more sensitive, for example; instead of showing an African American painted in black, why not a group of students having fun in a club were all the races were mixed, or if they want to specify into a certain group, why not a model looking proud of her clothes as of her skin.

This advertising depicts the group in a negative light due to the content being insensitive towards poor African American woman who want to dress as good and fashionable as any other woman in America.

In conclusion, stereotypes are how people generalized others by the notable characteristics other have or tend to express. Sometimes stereotypes work same as shocking advertising due to the controversy they generate in the groups they generalize. This advertising of the African American woman painted in black is the generalization of how society sees the African American poor woman as being proud of her skin and her Amazon attributes.
